Third round matches

All four Spanish sides made it through the league stage, with Espanyol topping their group and Celta, Sevilla and Osasuna finishing second. The results means that all will play their second leg games at home, with Espanyol drawn to play Livorno and the last three facing opposition who join the competition from the Champions League. The fixtures involving Spanish teams are set out below, and the draw was also made for the fourth round, with the following pairings:
