All three Spanish sides made it through the league stage, with Atlético Madrid, Villarreal and Getafe all topping their respective groups. The results means that all will play their second leg games at home, with Atlético drawn to play Bolton Wanderers, Villarreal to meet Zenit Saint Petersburg and Getafe to visit AEK Athens.
