Spain made sure of top spot in their group after thrashing Malta 7-0 in their latest match. Morata opened the scoring midway through the first half, and Gerard Moreno had a goal ruled out before he set up his Villarreal team mate Cazorla for the second. After the restart Pau Torres, Sarabia, Dani Olmo and Moreno all got their first goals for Spain within ten minutes of each other, Torres and Olmo just minutes after coming on for their senior debut, and Jesús Navas rounded things off with a long shot near the end.
