A lot
of goals this week, and only three keepers managed to keep their goals
untouched. One of those was our leader Cañizares, and if there was any
doubt as to who will be the Zamora this season this should end it. With only
twelve days to go he leads the table by seven points, and nothing short of
complete disaster will deprive him of victory. The way Héctor
Cúper plays his football that is not going to happen, with Valencia
getting a cautious 1-0 victory over one of the bottom three Osasuna when their
immediate rivals were each scoring four in their games. Molina returned for
Deportivo after another layoff through injury to keep second spot after letting
in one against Numancia, and last year's winner Casillas got one of the clean
sheets against Real Sociedad to move up to third, level with Mora and Leo
Franco. The other goalminder to keep out the opposition was Málaga's
Contreras, who helped his team rise up to eighth place in the league.
