A
good week for keepers, with no less than seven clean sheets. Mora moves up into
third place and Herrera also improved his position in their teams' 0-0 draw,
and Nacho González and Lafuente did likewise in Las Palmas. The other
three came from keepers not currently in our charts, starting with Numancia's
Nuñez who contributed to his team's vital victory over relegation rivals
Racing Santander. Real Sociedad's Alberto is now back in favour, and he too
helped his team to a victory which keeps them within two points of Numancia.
Celta's Cavallero technically kept a clean sheet, although he didn't quite last
the 90 minutes, having to go off injured three minutes from time against
Oviedo. Luckily someone told manager Víctor Fernández that he was
injured just as the manager was about to make his last substitution, and he
quickly changed his plans to put on Pinto. Cañizares still heads our
chart, and he was rewarded with a second half appearance for Spain against
England midweek. Unfortunately four minutes after coming on he let in a goal,
although he was not to blame for it. (05.03.01) |
