Only
four clean sheets this week in the nine games played, with Casillas and Juanmi
sitting this weekend out as their match was postponed in view of Real Madrid's
upcoming trip to Tokyo for the Intercontinental cup. Cañizares was one
of the four, and he moves to the top of our chart as Herrera gets hit for three
goals by Dely Valdés's Málaga . As we can make up the rules as we
go along, we include Leo Franco for the first time this week, and he joins
Cañizares on minus three after his not insignificant role in helping
Mallorca up from bottom spot to fourth in the table since he took over from the
injured Roa on day 5. Roa will be replaced in the squad by Mono Burgos in
December, but the way Leo Franco is playing Burgos will have his work cut out
to oust him. Molina was another clean-sheeter this weekend, and he moves up
level with Mora one behind the leaders. The other two were Barcelona's Dutruel,
who took over from Arnau after he picked up a knee ligament injury which will
keep him out for two or three months, and Nacho González from Las
Palmas, who returned after a one match suspension. Elsewhere Esteban saved a
Mendieta penalty but then just failed to stop a second one, and Lopetegui was
hit for four by Julen Guerrero's Athletic Bilbao. (27.11.00) |
