It seems clasping your hands behind your back to avoid giving away a penalty doesn’t always work, as Pau Torres found out in Villarreal’s match at Athletic Bilbao. The problem was that Torres’s elbows were sticking out, and when the ball hit him, that was enough for Medié Jiménez to point to the spot. Villarreal coach Javier Calleja didn’t like it though, and his protests cost him a red card. Raúl García converted the penalty, and that was enough to give Athletic the three points. (18.03.20)
