Undiano Mallenco almost cost Barcelona the league title when he turned down two good penalty appeals by Luis Enrique’s side in the first half of their key game at Atlético Madrid, the first when Juanfran handled in the area, and the second when he awarded a free kick to Dani Alves outside of the area when Godín clearly tripped him up inside the box. Thankfully for Barça, Messi saved the day anyway with the winning goal later on. Similar events as well at Elche, where only Hernández Hernández knows why he ruled out a late headed goal by Athletic’s San José with the match finely poised at 2-2. Again justice was served when Williams got an injury time winner for the Basque team which takes them up to seventh in the table. (21.05.15)
