It was Barcelona's turn to complain about referees this weekend, especially when Ayza Gámez sent off Thiago for what he considered was a second bookable offence for playing the ball with his arm. Television pictures showed clearly though that he connected with his shoulder, and the disciplinary committee agreed, overturning the yellow card and subsequent sending off. Barça held on to win at Mallorca so the protests were tempered down, but there would certainly have been a far bigger outcry had the decision cost points for Guardiola's side. (28.03.12)
