A new season is upon us, with no less than six red cards on the opening weekend. Joel (Betis), Jorge Molina (Getafe), Oscar Rodríguez (Leganés) and Modric (Real Madrid) were all shown straight reds, and Lodi (Atlético) and Coquelín (Valencia) got their marching orders for second bookable offences. Things calmed down after that though, with no red cards in week 2, and only Bale (Real Madrid) sent off in week 3, in his case after picking up two late bookings. (02.09.19)
