That's more like it boys!
After the opening day's well behaved round of games, we finally have our first
red cards of the season. Two of them in fact were for Mallorca players,
Ballesteros picking up two bookings in the second half of the match at
Barcelona, and Farinós following him down the tunnel a few minutes later
after he was shown a second yellow card for protesting. Ballesteros probably
won't miss the next match though as the disciplinary committee are expected to
let him off one of the cautions. Villarreal's new signing Tacchinardi got a
taste of Spanish refereeing when he was sent off for a hard tackle on the match
against Sevilla, and Getafe's Rivas was also shown a red card for the same
reason late in their match against Athletic Bilbao. (13.09.05) |
