Villains
This is just not Poschner's season. Rayo Vallecano's German midfielder had only been sent off once in 14 seasons before this one, and now he finds himself way out in front at the top of our villains table. Maybe he is going through a midlife crisis or pehaps he walked under a ladder, broke a mirror and then crossed a black cat, but whatever the reason he got himself red-carded again for the third time in just over a month. Even though the second red card, picked up in the UEFA cup, doesn't count in our competition, he leads our villains' section on 12 points. Last year's winner, Téllez, has not done much to date after being taken out by Marioni on the second day. However he proved he is back with a full blooded neck-high two footed tackle in the last minute of the game between Alavés and Valladolid which earned him a direct red card. He later apologised to the crowd for his rude gesture, but added that Caminero had insulted his mother, and that he would not stand for that. A sensitive lot the Spaniards when it comes to mothers. His subsequent three match suspension takes him second in our table. Two other players were sent off, González and Alvaro, both from Las Palmas. Figo also enters the list for the first time after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, not a name usually associated with foul play. Maybe he is taking out his frustrations on the pitch?
