Poschner goes to the top of our villains table this week
after picking up another yellow card, once again for disputing a referee's
decision. This time he did it in Spanish, (remember he was sent off in week 6
for addressing the referee in German), but it still got him booked. He should
know that the best thing to do in Spain is keep your mouth shut. Arzeno moves
up to second after getting his first card this season. He had just returned
from his six match suspension for elbowing Jankauskas in the face in the first
game. Only two sendings off on the field of play this week, plus one assistant
trainer from Las Palmas for protesting too loudly. Iván Ania made a
brilliant finger tip save from Jordi Cruyff in Oviedo's match at Alavés.
The problem is he is not the goalkeeper, and after consulting the linesman
García-Aranda had no choice but to send him off. He shouldn't have
bothered putting his hand in the way though, his side lost 4-0. The other
player to get his marching orders was Celta's Mostovoi, for a second bookable
offence late in the game. The match was officiated by the fourth referee after
Losantos Omar got injured in the warm up (see White Stick section for more
details). (06.11.00) |
