Ten
teams failed to score this week, including leading scorer Bolo's Rayo
Vallecano. League goals from Juan Sánchez and Javi Moreno (a penalty)
move them level with McCarthy in second place in the table on six goals. Almost
half of the day's goals came from the big two, Real Madrid and Barcelona, with
Raúl and Guti getting one each for the Merengues and Rivaldo getting two
for the Catalans. All three move up to join the group on five goals. Alfonso
also scored two for Barcelona, but as these were his first of the season he
doesn't feature yet in our table. Only one new name came in, Celta's Karpin
scoring his first in the league but his third overall. (16.10.00) |
