Real Madrid finally found time to play the match which was postponed from December due to the Club World Cup, a 1-3 victory against city rivals Leganés taking Zidane’s side above Valencia to third place. Bustinza gave the lcals an early lead, but strikes by Lucas Vázquez and Casemiro turned the scoreline around by the break. Casilla had to save from Beauvue after the restart however, and the result was in doubt until Sergio Ramos converted a last minute penalty.
