Espanyol clocked up a 4-1 victory over Deportivo in the Sunday mid-day kick-off to move to within two points of the European spots. Baptistao headed the opener and Arribas deflected a corner in to his own goal to put the Catalans two up at the break. Pau López had a couple of saves to make before Celso Borges got one back, but in the last twenty minutes Gerard Moreno converted a penalty and then turned in Baptistao’s centre to make it seven points in as many days for Quique’s side.
