Athletic Bilbao moved up to seventh spot in the table after they won 1-2 at Granada, a third league win in a row for Valverde’s team. Raúl García picked up a deflected cross to fire the opener in off Ochoa’s far post on the quarter hour mark, and the keeper had to be on his toes to save from Aduríz a few minutes later. With half time approaching though Carcela-González latched on to a loose ball in the area to make it all square, and a couple of minutes after the restart Kepa did well to tip a long effort from Alberto Bueno on to the bar and out for a corner. Kravets tested the Spanish under 21 keeper again later on, and Raúl García and Aduríz came up against Ochoa in reply, but with a quarter of an hour to go the local keeper could only block a San José header from a Beñat corner, and Laporte was on hand to turn in the rebound.
