Granada remain in the bottom three after they lost 2-0 at Betis in this Sunday’s mid-day game. The visitors came into the match full of confidence after two wins in a row under new coach José González, but they hardly troubled Adán in a dull first half, the only chances a couple of efforts from Musonda and Jorge Molina which Andrés kept out. Soon after the interval though Vargas was sent off after picking up a second yellow card for a hard tackle on Rochina, and Adán had to be at his best to save a header from Barral, and then an effort from Rochina. With five minutes to go however N’Diaye headed the opener from Joaquín’s corner, and Joaquín himself almost made it two with a chip just wide of the post. And with the game in injury time Andrés was sent off for handling the ball outside of the area, and with outfielder Biraghi in goal, Rubén Castro curled the resulting free kick past him and in to the net. Juan Merino’s team have now gone six games without defeat, and they end the weekend eight points clear of their regional neighbours.
