Fourth placed Celta were beaten 0-1 by Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday evening, and they could be out of the Champions League spots if Villarreal win on Thursday. Honours were share in the first half, Iraizoz having to save from Bongonda, Orellana and Jonny, and Sabin and Raúl García going close at the other end. After the interval though Aduríz had a strike ruled out for offside and Williams fired a shot against the bar, and with twenty minutes to go Aduríz put Raúl García through for him to score. Wass fired a shot over the top and Hugo Mallo hit the bar later on, but Muniain could have increased the lead when he shot just wide near the end.
