Deportivo hold on to sixth spot after coming back from two down to draw 2-2 at home to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday evening. The Basque side took the lead on the half hour mark when Williams volleyed in a long centre from Balenziaga, the referee waving away claims from Depor that the game should have been stopped as one of their players was lying injured at the time. Luis Alberto came close to an equalizer when he hit the woodwork twice shortly before the interval, but some eighteen minutes in to the second half Aduríz made it two with a chip over the stranded Lux after Raúl García put him through. With ten minutes to go however Lucas Pérez got one back with an acrobatic volley after intercepting an effort from Juanfran, and Oriol Riera fired a shot just over the top before Arribas headed a Fede Cartabia cross wide of Iraizoz to save a point for the Galicians.
