The intense league programme continues, Valencia kicking off the week 6 fixtures with a 1-0 victory over Granada on Friday evening which takes them up to sixth place overnight. Mustafi headed the only goal of the match from Bakkali’s cross midway through the first half, but once again the Ches were disappointing, and they only troubled Andrés after that with a couple of efforts from Alcácer and Rodrigo. El-Arabi and Fran Rico hit the bar either side of half time and only a great save from Domenech just before the break stopped Rochina from equalizing with a free kick, but it was a fourth defeat in a row for the Andalusians, and they stay in the bottom three as a result.
