Fourth placed Valencia are back to within a point of Atlético Madrid after a 3-0 victory over city rivals Levante in the Monday night game. Paco Alcácer had an early strike ruled out for a non-existent offside, but soon afterwards he got on the end of a Dani Parejo cross to head the opener past Diego Mariño. Rodrigo and Barral traded shots at each end, but with ten minutes to go to the break Feghouli headed the second from a centre by Lucas Orbán, who this time was in an offside position when he picked up the ball. The visitors came out strongly after the interval though, half time substitute Iván López hitting the bar with a long shot, and José Mari and Morales forcing Diego Alves into a couple of good saves. However with the game in injury time Negredo wrapped things up, the Ex Manchester City striker controlling a long ball into the area before hooking a shot past Mariño. The defeat leaves Levante down in the relegation spots, albeit level on points with Deportivo and Almería.
