Barcelona hold on to second place, still two points behind leaders Real Madrid, after a last minute 0-1 win at Valencia on Sunday evening. Both teams had chances throughout the game, Claudio Bravo having to keep out Rodrigo early on and Diego Alves saving from Luis Suárez at the other end soon afterwards. The local keeper made another stop from Suárez a few minutes later, and André Gomes and Negredo went close a couple of times either side of half time. Early in the second half Piqué had to clear off the line from Rodrigo, and Suárez got the ball in the net only for the strike to be ruled out for a non-existent offside. Bravo had to pull off first class saves from Feghouli and Negredo however when both got free on goal, but with a draw seemingly on the cards Alves could only push out Neymar’s header from a Messi cross, and Busquets was on hand to fire home the winner.
