Leganés are looking good for a return to the second division after a ten year absence, the Madrid based side beating L’Hospitalet 1-0 in the first leg of their final play-off on Sunday lunchtime. Although the locals had the better chances, Craviotto and his defence kept them at bay right up until the final minutes. However with seven minutes to go the visiting keeper could only push out a shot by Mantovani, and Carlos Alvarez was there to steer home the rebound. Peque and Viale went close as the Catalans came out at the end to try and save a draw, but by then it was too late to change the result.
The second of the play-off finals is still in the balance though after Nàstic beat regional neighbours Llagostera 2-1. The 12,800 crowd in Tarragona was bigger than the entire population of the visitors’ small town, but even so they took the lead early on in the second half, Sellarés heading the ball past Reina after Jordi López scuffed his shot. Ten minutes later however Lago Junior equalized from the penalty spot after he was bundled over in the area by Alex Cruz, and just three minutes after that Rocha got on the end of a corner to head his side’s second. Marcos had a third goal disallowed for what the referee considered to be a foul on the keeper, but even though Sellarés got himself sent off later on, there was no further movement to the scoreline.
