A sensational end to the play-offs, Córdoba winning promotion on the away goal rule with the last kick of the match! After a score-less draw in the first leg, the Canary Islanders went ahead at the start of the second half, Apoño finishing off after Raúl Bravo gifted the ball to Aranda. Two minutes in to injury time the local fans invaded the pitch mistakenly thinking that the referee had blown the final whistle. However the game eventually resumed after a long delay to clear them away, and Uli Dávila got a vital away goal to take the Andalusians up for the first time in 42 years.
