All to play for next Sunday after Córdoba and Las Palmas drew 0-0 in the first leg of the promotion play-off final. The Andalusians have not been in the top flight for 42 years, and a packed crowd saw Dávila shoot just wide in the first minute, and Luso head against the foot of the post soon afterwards. Nauzet and Apoño tested Juan Carlos later in the first half, but Barbosa had to be at his best to keep out Xisco a couple of times either side of half time, and Dávila again a few minutes later. The Canary Islanders stood their ground though, and they must now be favourites to join Eibar and Deportivo in the first division next season.
