The games are coming thick and fast in the run in to the end of the season, with week 30 beginning just a day after week 29 ended. The first games were on Tuesday night, with fourth placed Athletic Bilbao inching towards tying up that last Champions League spot thanks to a 0-0 draw at Elche. Wind and rain prevented much creative play, but there were still a few chances, Manu Herrera having to tip a dangerous free kick from namesake Ander Herrera over the bar, and Boakye firing a shot over the top after Rodrigues set him up at the other end. Laporte and Susaeta failed to hit the target with free kicks in the second half, but the locals came closest to scoring, Cristian Herrera and Pelegrín striking shots just wide of the post, and Cisma heading directly at keeper Iraizoz following a corner. No goals, but both teams will probably be happy with a point in the end.
