Getafe ended the weekend just four points above the relegation spots after they could only draw 0-0 at home to Espanyol on Saturday. Luis García’s side had gone ten games without a win, and although they had the better chances, once again they could not find the route to goal. Visiting keeper Casilla had to save from Lafita and Ciprian early on, Sidnei shooting off target at the other end and Sergio García seeing his effort deflected wide for a corner. Casilla was in action later on to keep out Lafita and Pedro León, and his opposite number Moyà stopped Córdoba before injuring himself and having to be replaced by Codina. Another disappointing result for Getafe though, and García may not have much longer left at the club if things don’t improve quickly.
