Sevilla move up in to the top half of the table after they beat ten man Osasuna 2-1 in this Sunday's mid-day kick-off. De la Cuevas and Gameiro traded shots early on, but the turning point of the game came with ten minutes to go to the break when Damià was sent off for pulling down Gameiro as he advanced on goal. Rakitic fired the resulting free kick over the bar, but early in the second half he opened the scoring after getting behind the defence to slide a long M'Bia centre past Andrés. Bacca hit the post a few minutes later, and with a quarter of an hour to go Jairo ran on to M'Bia's long clearance to fire an angled shot across the keeper for his side's second. Soon afterwards Andrés had to be at his best to keep out a Jairo header, and Riera's headed goal with three minutes to go came too late to prevent the Pamplona based side from dropping down to next to bottom spot in the table.
