Real Sociedad are now just three points off the European spots after they picked up a point in a 0-0 draw at Granada on Saturday. Local coach Anquela was under pressure to get a result, but with his side not having scored a goal now in the last five games he needs a reliable striker to do so. This week it was Ighalo's turn to take over the centre forward spot, but he failed to beat Claudio Bravo early on, and later in the second half he shot straight at the keeper with the goal at his mercy. The Basque side themselves didn't cause too many problems for Roberto either, Ifran heading straight at him towards the end of the first half, and Xabi Prieto and Carlos Vela failing to hit the target before the break. With the game in the final minutes Ifrán was pulled up incorrectly for offside, and Bravo saved once again from El-Arabi. But in the end both coaches settled for a point, which at least takes. the Andalusians out of the relegation spots for the time being.
