Only two weekends gone, but Real Madrid are already five points behind rivals Barcelona after they were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by neighbours Getafe. Özil fired a shot against the crossbar from close to goal early on, and Moyà did well to keep out a Ronaldo free kick soon afterwards. And with just under half an hour gone Madrid took the lead when Higuaín collected a Di María pass to beat the keeper at the third attempt. It looked as if Mourinho's side had things under control, but six minutes in to the second half Valera got on the end of an Abdel Barrada free kick to head the equaliser. Higuaín, Benzema and Di María all went close after that, but once again Getafe struck, Barrada picking up Colunga's pass on a quick breakaway to beat Casillas for a second time. Still early days, but a first defeat for Madrid in the league in 2012 after 23 games unbeaten, and they will need to bounce back quickly to restore their morale. Their first chance to do so will be next Wednesday, against Barcelona in the second leg of the Super Cup.
