Levante are not going to give up fourth spot without a fight, and after three defeats in a row they bounced back with a 4-0 win over Sporting Gijón on Sunday afternoon. Koné won the ball off Canella and ran through to set up Barkero for the first in the twentieth minute, and although Barral and De las Cuevas came close to equalising before the break, Juanlu scored a second just a minute after the restart, beating Juan Pablo from a wide angle. Four minutes later Koné ran through from midfield to find a gap between Iván Hernández and the keeper to score a third, and the on-loan Sevilla striker wrapped things up a few minutes later after Juan Pablo tipped Del Horno's free kick on to the bar. It was the Asturians' first defeat in six matches, and with results elsewhere going against them they find themselves back in the bottom three.
