Athletic Bilbao's eight match unbeaten record in the league (and eleven in all competitions) came to an end after they lost 0-1 to Granada on Sunday evening. The early chances fell to the Basque side, Susaeta and Llorente shooting wide and Ander bringing a good save out of Roberto. But with half an hour on the clock the visitors surprised their hosts, Iñigo López getting above the defence to head a Carlos Martins corner past Iraizoz. Roberto was the busiest man on the park in the second half, the visiting keeper making first class saves from Iraola, Javi Martínez and Susaeta, but Mikel Rico could also have added to the lead on a couple of occasions, and Iraizoz had to be quick to come out to Geijo as he got free on goal near the end. A great result for the Andalusians though who are now out of the bottom three.
