Granada and Elche came out of the first leg of their play-off final all square after a 0-0 draw in the Los Cármenes stadium. Rarely has a goal-less game been so exciting though, both keepers in action numerous times throughout the ninety minutes, albeit mainly to keep out long shots. With a few minutes to go though the locals felt themselves unlucky when Geijo and Dani Benítez both hit the woodwork, and Collantes had a strike ruled out for what referee Pino Zamorano considered to be a previous hand ball. However with the game in injury time the Andalusians were given a chance to redeem themselves when Vasco Fernandes brought down Geijo in the area, and although Jaime pushed Abel Gómez's penalty kick on to the post, Pino ordered a retake for encroachment. Once again though the keeper saved Abel's spot kick, leaving everything to be decided next Saturday in the Martínez Valero stadium.
