Third placed Valencia came from behind to beat Mallorca 1-2 in their Iberostar stadium, a ground where they have had poor results in their past visits. The Chés started well, Mata testing Aouate and Jonas shooting just wide, but with half an hour on the clock the locals were awarded a penalty when Ricardo Costa tripped Webó, and Ramis stepped up to beat Guaita from the spot. The lead only lasted a minute or so though before Pablo Hernández drilled home the equaliser after Aduríz headed back a long ball from Jonas. And although Webó and Nsue went close either side of half time, Pablo ran on to a Jonas through ball to score his second of the night soon afterwards. After that Laudrup's side pushed forward, but Guaita made a couple of important saves from substitutes Sergio Tejera and Aki Ienaga to make sure the scoreline remained unchanged.
