Real Madrid won 1-3 at bottom club Zaragoza on Sunday evening to keep up the pressure on leader Barcelona. The locals started well, with Jarosik heading over and Lafita shooting wide. But with just under a quarter of an hour gone Ronaldo sent Marcelo away for him to set up Özil for the opener. Benzema had a couple of efforts saved and Lass fired a long shot just wide, with Lafita testing Casillas at the other end. But with half time coming up Özil was fouled outside of the area, and Ronaldo made it two with a trademark free kick. And just a minute after the restart it was game over after Di María ran on to a long ball from Xabi Alonso to lift a shot over Leo Franco. Gabi pulled one back from the penalty spot twenty minutes later after Carvalho brought down Bertolo, but Benzema and Lass could have added to the lead after that had Leo Franco not been on his toes.
