Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao drew 0-0 in the Monday night game, a result which left the visitors down in eighth spot, two points now behind the top six. It was a typical Basque derby, with two solid defences giving away few chances throughout the match. Rúper and Juanfran tried their luck early on, but Ricardo had to be at his best to keep out a Llorente header shortly before half time. Susaeta burst through after the restart only to shoot at the keeper, and Pandiani kept Iraizoz on his toes with a long shot a few minutes later. With the game coming to a close Toquero tested Ricardo once again, but the ex Manchester United veteran held his nerve to ensure a point which keeps his side safely in mid-table.
