The match between Málaga and Valladolid ended score-less, leaving Javier Clemente's side further down in the drop zone and their hosts just four points above them, now only one point above Tenerife. Neither keeper had too much to do throughout, Duda testing Jacobo with a couple of long shots early on and Jacobo only really called upon to save from Juanito after the interval. Diego Costa tried his luck without too much effect either side of the break, and substitute Forestieri fired a couple of efforts wide near the end, but finally both teams had to settle for a point.
