Osasuna moved up safely to mid-table after they won 1-0 against Sporting Gijón on Sunday evening. The locals had the better chances in the first half, Aranda heading wide with the goal at his mercy and Masoud having an effort cleared off the line by Gerard. Both sides had penalty appeals turned down before Osasuna were awarded one ten minutes in to the second half, Sastre cutting out Masoud's cross with his arm allowing Nekounam to score what was to be the only goal from the spot. Juanfran could have increased the lead when he hit the post later on, but Camacho's side had done enough for a second win in four days.
