Málaga and Atlético Madrid ended the day as they started, level on points in sixth and seventh place, after drawing 1-1 in the Rosaleda stadium on Sunday evening.

Apoño put the locals ahead midway through the first half with a long shot which took a deflection off the back of Pablo Assunçao, but Heitinga got on the end of an Antonio López free kick to equalise on the stroke of half time.

Both keepers had work to do after that, Leo Franco keeping out a Duda free kick and another effort from Baha, and Goitia tipping an Ujfalusi header over the top, but in the end the two teams settled for a point.
