Recreativo beat regional neighbours Almería 0-2 to move up to sixteenth in the table, above Osasuna on the head-to-head record and a point ahead of Zaragoza. The Huelva based side are still not sure of staying up though, and everything now boils down to the last weekend when they host direct relegation rivals Valladolid.

Jesús Vázquez set the visitors on their way with an early goal, running the ball in to the net after his first shot was blocked by Diego Alves. And Sinama-Pongolle put them two up by the break with a spectacular dipping volley over the head of the keeper.

They still had some defending to do though after Iago Bouzón was sent off on the stroke of half time for a second bookable offence, and the locals should have scored when Acasiete missed an open goal from a yard out. Sorrentino was also called upon to save from Negredo and Mané near the end, but the visitors held on to end Almería's unbeaten home record which has stood since the end of October.
