Atlético Madrid
consolidated fourth spot after an event packed 6-3 win over Almería. An
Antonio López free kick and a Diego Forlán penalty put the locals
two up in five minutes, Pulido getting himself sent off in the penalty incident
for bringing down Agüero. But far from giving in, the visitors rallied
back, Felipe Melo collecting a cross from Bruno to get one back and Juanma
Ortíz beating Abbiati with a shot from outside of the area with just
over a quarter of an hour on the clock.
Simao put the home side
ahead again with a long free kick which slipped through the hands of the
usually reliable Diego Alves (who changed his new gloves at the break), but
once again Negredo headed an equaliser soon afterwards. Almería were
left with nine men though when Juanito was shown a second yellow card, and
another Simao strike and two second half goals from Agüero wrapped things
up. |
