Zaragoza ended the weekend
only one point above the relegation spots after they were held to a 1-1 draw by
Almería. Both sides had chances in the first half, with Oliveira and
Milito going close for the locals and Bruno replying for the visitors. Diego
Alves had to push out an Oliveira header soon after the restart, and
César saved well from Mané's diving header a few minutes later.
The game appeared to have
swung in favour of the visitors when Gabi was sent off for a second bookable
offence,. But the Maños took the lead a few minutes later when Oliveira
headed a Matuzalem corner past Diego Alves. It seemed to be enough for the
three points, but Almería are always dangerous on the dead ball kicks,
and with a couple of minutes remaining Kalu Uche flicked on Mané's
corner with his heel to allow Negredo to score from close range.
