D'Alessandro. Struck quick free kick with keeper out of position.
Zaragoza and Getafe both
stay in midtable after the two sides drew 1-1. The visitors were the better
side for much of the match, with César saving from De la Red and Uche
having an effort turned away for a corner early on. The locals improved either
side of half time, with Sergio García, Oliveira and Milito all going
close, but César had to be at his best to keep out a Granero free kick
and Sergio García cleared off the line from Manu with the keeper beaten.
Midway through the second
half Michael Laudrup's team finally took the lead when Juanfran failed to
control Granero's cross, leaving the way free for Sousa to shoot low past
César. Uche could have increased the lead, but Zaragoza equalised in a
strange incident, visiting keeper Pato Abbondanzieri out of his goal arguing
with Alvarez Izquierdo about a new substitution when the referee ignored him
and blew his whistle, allowing D'Alessandro to fire a quick free kick into the
empty net. Getafe tried to bounce back and César had to save a late
effort from Manu, but the game ended soon afterwards. |
