Sevilla got back to winning ways after beating bottom club Levante 0-2, putting an end to a run of four league defeats in a row. The game was over early on, with Luis Fabiano firing a shot on the turn under the legs of Alvaro and in off the post to put his side ahead in the sixth minute, and then adding a second from the penalty spot after Duda's cross hit Descarga on the arm in the area on the quarter hour mark.

The Andalusians could have scored more after that, Kone wasting an easy chance to make it three before the break, and Storari having to make important saves after the restart from Renato and substitute Chevantón (now back in the squad after Kone's change of status).

The home side hardly troubled Palop all evening, their only real efforts a couple of late headers from Riganó wide of the mark after their opponents relaxed near the end, and they still only have one point from their first eight games. It was not the best of starts for new coach Gianni De Biasi, who took over from Abel Resino just a few days ago, and he will have his work cut out if he is to save them this season.
