Sevilla's fall from grace continued after they were beaten 2-0 by Zaragoza on Saturday evening, a fourth defeat in a row for the Andalusians. They must be wondering how they did not come away with anything though after failing to convert many chances throughout the match. César had to save from Navas and Adriano early on, Luis Fabiano hit the side netting and Kone headed an Alves cross over the bar before the break. And with the second half just a minute old Kone cut past three players but shot wide of the far post with the goal at his mercy.

Just a couple of minutes later though substitute D'Alessandro beat César with a well struck free kick, virtually his side's first effort on goal. Sevilla continued to attack, Luis Fabiano and and Kone going close and substitute Kanouté uncharacteristically missing the easiest chance of the match. But with four minutes to go Sergio García ran on to a through ball and lifted a shot past Palop to put the game beyond the reach of the visitors. It was just not their night!
