A 2-2 draw between Betis and Espanyol, although the Catalans must be wondering how they didn't come away with three points after throwing away a two goal lead in the last seven minutes. Luis García scored twice in a ten minute period near the end of the first half, opening the scoring after Zabaleta set him up and making it two with a well struck shot.

Kameni kept out Pavone in between, and had to be at his best to save from Odonkor after the restart. Later in the second half Luis García wasted a golden chance to complete his hat-trick, Ricardo closing him down with the goal at his mercy. And almost immediately Betis turned things around, Fernando heading one back and Sobis rounding Kameni to score just a minute afterwards.
