1-1. 52. Aimar. Connected with Ewerthon's headed pass to shoot low past Bravo.
2-1. 74. Diego Milito (penalty). After Milito fell under challenge by Bravo in area.
3-1. 80. Ewerthon. Picked up Diego Milito pass and rounded keeper to score.
3-2. 93. Dïaz de Cerio. Dribbled round César after controlling long, high pass.

Zaragoza moved up to fifth, just two points behind Madrid, after beating Real Sociedad 3-2. This was just about the Basque side's last chance of survival, and after Xabi Prieto brought a good save out of César, Herrera opened the scoring after Diego Milito (on rare defensive duties) could only play a long cross into his path trying to clear.

For the rest of the first half the locals were on top, with Celades, Piqué, Aimar, Sergio García, Oscar and Diego Milito all trying their luck. With the scoreline still against them at the break though Víctor Fernández brought on Ewerthon, and within seven minutes he made his mark, heading the ball into the path of Aimar for him to equalise.

The turning point came though a few minutes later when Diego Milito fell in the area rounding Bravo, referee Megia Dávila awarding a penalty which the striker himself converted. Six minutes later Ewerthon added a third after picking up a return pass from Diego Milito, and Díaz de Cerio completed the scoring in injury time with a well taken goal which came to late to save the result.
