Recreativo moved up to seventh spot once again after beating struggling Real Sociedad 1-0. After an early chance for Uche, the visitors could well have taken the lead through Díaz de Cerio and then Xabi Prieto. But both wasted their chances, and Uche came close at the other end again, at first with a shot which came back off the post, and then when he had a penalty claim turned down after he was brought down by Rivas.

Just three minutes after the restart though, the Andalusians took the lead when Beto got above Elustondo to head Viqueira's corner wide of Bravo. Díaz de Cerio headed into the hands of López Vallejo a few minutes later, and Kovacevic put another effort wide. But Uche hit the woodwork again as Recre added three more points to what is already the best tally they have managed in the top flight in all their long history.
