Sevilla moved level on
points with leaders Barcelona pending their game on Sunday after drawing 0-0 at
city neighbours Betis. The home side should have taken the lead early on when
they were awarded a dubious penalty after Fernando fell in the area, but Robert
put his kick way over the bar. And they continued to dominate for the rest of
the first half, Palop saving well from Ilic and Vogel amongst others.
Poulsen hit the post for the
visitors soon after the restart, virtually their first real shot at goal. A
couple of minutes before that Sobis had a goal disallowed for offside, and it
was end to end stuff for the last half hour, Doblas blocking an effort from
Adriano and Palop making a first class save from Robert when free in front of
goal .But in the end both sides had to settle for a point which wasn't what
either of them really wanted. |
